Women > A Force in Business is an annual event hosted by the North Carolina Chamber. Over 1,000 women attended this year’s forum at the Raleigh Convention Center. Both engaging and highly-attended, the inspiring conference explores pathways to leadership and how men and women can work together to fortify the next generation of female leaders.
Personal Growth Through Networking
Given the growth-oriented focus of this event, it was fitting to include “Networking Where You Want to Go” as one of the key breakout sessions this year. The panel featured: Dr. Shruti Tannan, Board Certified Surgeon; Creighton Blackwell, Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Community Engagement, Coastal Credit Union; Ursula Mead, Founder and CEO, InHerSight; and Accuro’s own Founder & CEO Jennifer Dunleavy, acting as moderator.
The session discussed strategies for growing and utilizing personal networks, including tips for engaging with new contacts and leveraging social media for networking.
