Fall is here and we are just beyond the first event of the season. Halloween. During the time between Halloween and January 2nd, schedules are often packed with Daylight Savings, Election Day, Veteran’s Day and Pearl Harbor Day events; celebrations for Thanksgiving Day, Chanukah, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa etc. This is the time of year that brings joyful anticipation for all but for some, above and beyond their work schedules, it means travel, family get-togethers and holiday parties. How can there be a Work Life balance? Here are some tips that may help you tackle the season: • Set priorities and don’t be hesitant to let some lesser important obligations fall to the wayside • Try to get outside a little more often during your work day. Just a little exercise and fresh air can work wonders • Say “no” more often • Be conscious of the foods you eat (moderation!) and try to get enough sleep • Remember the real meaning of the holiday you/your family enjoys • Don’t forget to smile! ‘Tis the season!
